Membership
CFFM is the national voice for the thousands of Canadians who generously commit their time and energy to support museums throughout Canada.
FRIENDS OF MUSEUMS are museum members, their boards, volunteers, benefactors and donors who contribute in many ways to the support of museums, to their development and to their public presence and influence.
CFFM works with

- International Council of Museums (ICOM) Canada
CFFM promotes museums and Canadian heritage throughout Canada.
CFFM educates the Canadian public about the value of museums and the importance of preserving our heritage.
CFFM promotes and enhances the volunteer component of our museum community.
CFFM provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among Canadian and international Friends’ organizations.
CFFM cooperates with all museums and their associations concerning the role of Friends.
CFFM provides a resource centre for Friends of museums.
CFFM encourages partnerships with academic institutions.
CFFM is funded through annual fees and donations.
CFFM is a registered charitable organization #BN-11883 0876 RR0001. Tax receipts are issued for donations and the membership fee.
CFFM members are invited to participate in CFFM projects and receive a variety of benefits, including a quarterly newsletter by post or e-mail.
CFFM membership categories and levels
Supporters
(Individuals, corporations, foundations and professional and other associations who make an annual contribution to support CFFM objectives):
- Student — $25
- Friend – $40
- Supporter — $100
- Associate – $250
- Patron – $500
- Benefactor – $1000
Organizations
(Friends’ Organizations, Boards of Trustees, Volunteer Committees):
- Under 100 members – $50
- 100 – 500 members – $75
- 500 – 1000 members – $100
- 1000 – 5000 members – $150
- Over 5000 members – $200
